Dr. Roland N. Bullard, Jr. serves as Vice President for Student Development and Dean for the School of Extended Studies at Saint Augustine's University. His areas of oversight include: Student Affairs, TRIO Programs and the university’s adult and new online graduate program. He earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education and Policy Studies from Indiana University-Bloomington with a dissertation that focused on the experiences of CSAOs who transitioned to the college presidency. He also holds a M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina in Student Personnel Services and a B. A. in Communication from FAU (Boca Raton, FL.).
In 2007, Dr. Bullard was appointed a Harvard University Fellow and served in residence at the HU - JFK School of Government in Cambridge, MA. Bullard has also earned graduate certifications in non-profit management and fundraising from Indiana University and Boston University, respectively. Roland has presented widely at regional and national student affairs conferences on: professional development for new professionals, staff and student supervision, and change management. Professionally, Bullard has also instructed both graduate and undergraduate courses in student affairs, higher education, and management. He has also served in positions that reported in either student or academic affairs. An active member of several professional organizations, Bullard is a Past President for the Southern Association for College Student Affairs.
