SACSA Response to Recent Violence
Share |

Dear SACSA Members,

Once again, we are facing the need to respond in the wake of violence this week.  These shootings further heighten our consciousness around racial inequities, biases, and prejudices.

In student affairs, we have an obligation to enhance the college experiences for all students, to support one another through excruciating trial and tribulation, and to foster communities that promote peace, seek hope, and act justly.  SACSA has created a space in our newest platform, Communities of Engagement (COE), for members to share information with one another about how students, faculty, and staff on our campuses are responding and providing support in the wake of this most recent violence.  We hope that members will use this space to share best practices and resources for supporting students and supporting one another.

You can join the Social Justice & Inclusion COE here.

We recognize that we must act and we must respond.  Our campus communities need what we in student affairs provide.  Please take time to care for yourselves and care for one another.
